The major retailer will take over the former Wilko store on Westham Road, which closed its doors last October. Directors have confirmed that work will begin in the coming months, with plans to open the store in early 2026.
Conor Walsh, Director of South West and North East at Primark, said: “We are pleased to confirm that we plan to open a new store in Weymouth, located on Westham Road, taking over the former Wilko building. Work will begin in the coming months, and we hope to open our doors in early 2026. We look forward to becoming a part of the local community.”
Currently, the nearest Primark is located in the Dolphin Shopping Centre in Poole.
